Yusmarg, believed by local legend to have once been visited by Jesus, is a tranquil meadow ringed by pine forests along the banks of the Doodh Ganga stream. It is far quieter than Kashmir's better-known resorts, making it popular with travellers looking for solitude.

From here, trekking trails lead further into the hills toward Tosa Maidan and Sang-e-Safed, and pony rides across the open meadow are a popular way to take in the surrounding scenery.
